Kudos on your excellent sleuthing Ayal.

It appears that the "story" I received from Carol himself (when I owned the Shelby 45) may have been tainted by the many organ transplants he has endured : - ).

In any case, the only small detail that remains unresolved is the differences in the two logos. The Carrera 45 Shelby logo does not have the circle around it like this watch does. Any speculation on this?

: were introduced at that show. The Sales manager had picked up
: the watches from a Manhattan jeweller the day the show opened
: and the watches were given to Ford dealers and other VIPs at the
: show itself. I was also emailed a photo (albeit poor quality).
