Memo to eBay Sellers

Yes, the Rally Master set you put in your sock draw 30 years ago is valuable. But no, that does not mean you can omit the salient details, like that the Master Time doesn't run at all, or the hour wheel is broken on the Monte Carlo. And you certainly can't claim it works fine, but just needs a clean and lube.

And yes, it matters that you drilled out a few of the screws on the backplate when you couldn't get them out. And yes, it matters that somebody squeezed too hard with vice grips on the crown and went through to the brass.

No, it doesn't matter that you were selling it for less than the guy asking $7500 for his Rally Master. Just because he asks for it doesn't mean he's going to get it. And regardless, what you consider a "good deal" doesn't excuse your dishonest description.

Even when I asked if it works, your answer wasn't true.

It used to be that dash timer guys and car guys were pretty much straight shooters on eBay. Is there anyone left to trust?
