Re: Interesting Poor Man's Carrera - thoughts?

Lemania started using this case in the late seventies, predominantly in their 'World Time' and their issued Lemania SAAF models, here is a Lemania example (also without the 24hr subdial, so either a 5100 or 5100 with deletion):

Here is my 510.523 and 1980 Lemania SAAF for comparison:

Bucherer also used Lemania cases/movements in many of their watches. As has been said here, at this time they were under the control of Nouvelle Lemania, so an integration of Lemania product would be normal.

: Hi everyone,

: What are the forum's views on this watch? Looks to me like a fair
: Poor Man's Carrera, late automatic Lemania. The dealer, who I
: know well and trust tells me that the rotor is signed
: 'Bucherer'.

: I can find nothing else searching on this forum about Bucherer
: branded Heuers, other than talk of a fake Bucherer Monaco.

: So, could this be a rare example of Bucherer Heuer, nothing to do
: with Heuer at all, or something more sinister.

: Its in good condition, and he's asking a reasonable price.

: Best wishes to all
