Any Relevance to Stanley Kubrick Wearing a Monaco?

So do we attribute any meaning to the fact that Stanley Kubrick wore a Monaco in the set of A Clockwork Orange?

I have not seen the show, but am told that there are no coincidences in Breaking Bad . . . every detail is there for a reason.

: Don't know if any of you watch Breaking Bad on AMC, but I happen to
: think it's the best show on television and one of the greatest
: dramatic series ever.

: In last week's episode, there was an interesting Heuer placement.
: Walter White, the protagonist, gets a present from his business
: partner Jesse, for his 51st Birthday.
: A watch. A blue faced Heuer Monaco reissue on a leather band.

: Everyone makes a big deal of the gift, and the closing shot of the
: episode is a close up of the watch, ticking loudly, and stopping
: at a time that might (or might not) provide a significant clue
: about the end of the series.

: On the discussion boards, the fans kept calling it a Rolex, but I
: think it was pretty cool that they chose a Heuer.

: Not sure why they chose the Heuer, aside from the fact that it's
: very distinctive looking.

: Here are more details and a screen capture.
