An unusual find

What an amazing watch.
We are all aware of the link to Dubois as regards the development the Project.99 - Cal.11 movement but with that partnership having taken place in 1968-69 its strange that this Dubois marked dial would be produced 10 odd years later to go in a 110.253.
Is the dial the same blue finnish as the Heuer version ? Its always difficult to tell from photo's of a metallic dial, they have a tendancy flare with lighting and angles.
I look forward to seeing this one in a finished state.
Cheers - Darren

: Dear friends,

: as you know, I like to look for rarities for my small collection
: Heuer.
: Often omit the references common to throw myself headlong into the
: most daring enterprises, with the hope of finding the most
: common things at a later time.

: This is a piece that no Heuer collector haven't seen and that has
: attracted the attention of many friends.
: This is a rare Carrera 110,523 with tiger's eye dial (in my
: opinion, the most beautiful along the Carrera Automatic 18K).
: In essence, the rarity of this watch is that it is a Heuer Carrera
: in all respects, with the reference and serial, with buttons
: fluted crown, marked, branded machine ... different from a
: common Carrera only for Dubois logo instead Heuer.
: My idea is that Depraz Dubois, a company that manufactured the part
: of the cal11-12, has asked Heuer to make a small run of these
: Carrera with their logo instead of Heuer.
: The end?
: To me it is unknown.
: We can make inferences?
: A Christmas gift?
: A sort of prototype to test changes to the machine or to obtain
: special approvals?
: The clock of an executive of the company?
: A watch for display?

: It would be nice to discover what it is: I can say with certainty
: is that it is an original piece.
: Currently the machine and the hands are being restored.
: It will soon be on my wrist ...

: What do you think about?
