I can help you out somewhat..
In Response To: Heuer Autavia Military ()

I have a 510.501 that has 'AF' markings. Actually, the ebayer who sold that Radial Dial Autavia also had a '82AF' marked 510.501.

I did some deep digging into mine, and haven't as yet published the details, but here is a quick summary. Please bear in mind, this is in reference to my watch marked '82AF' and not 'KAF'..

This is very short and sweet, as I'm just about to pop out..
In 1982 there was a failed military coup in Kenya. It was lead by Air Force officers. It failed, and the Air Force was dis-banded, then re-assembled under a different name - the 82 Air Force. This didn't last too long. Anyway, I have been in contact with some experts in African Mil watches, and I also have found another collector who has an 82AF 510.501, plus the ebay one, so 3 known.

This confirms that Heuers were issued, and it stands to reason that the earlier Autavia could be issued and marked pre-82AF, so simply KAF.
