An interesting theme...

... popped up on another board. A well known and reputated Rolex collector raised an interesting theme over at VRF. It's about restoring old watches to a state where most people can't decide any more whether it is an original mint watch or something restored. I think it will effect all other vintage watch brands, too. The more popular and desired some watches get, the more people are trying to fullfill these desires. I think some time ago the Heuer community didn't even think about that. We were all struggeling and still are sometimes to identify if a specific watch is a real Heuer (e.g. Exotic dial, white orange boy...). A lot of progress is going on here and more people get attention to Heuer. What is your opionion on that? Do you think we will face the same problems the Rolex community is?
