Re: Heuer Movement Horror Story...

Sorry to hear of the issues you experienced.

Most of us have had bad experiences buying and selling at one time or another. It seems to be a bit of an unspoken subject maybe due a feeling of embarrassment or an attempt to dissociate oneself from the event. Naming and shamming rarely leads to success when attempting to resolve a dispute and very often the injured party ends up becoming embroiled in a war of words and further injury as well as bad publicity. Doing your homework before a purchase does not always work but it is worth agreeing terms and conditions of purchase, obtaining references and clarifying any ambiguity before committing.

Best to learn from your experience, take it on the chin and move on.

: Vince, its a real shame to have had to read about your experience
: and here of all places. I have had a good run of late which may
: be just luck or possibly vigilance and the experience that comes
: from situations similar to yours. We don’t have the benefit of
: hindsight but we can at least change our methodology to avoid
: making the same mistakes again. I am not suggesting for one
: moment that you were at fault here but trust needs to be earned
: so do your due diligence with each and every purchase and seller
: regardless of status or reputation.
: Hopefully this setback will be short lived and your passions for
: Heuer re-ignited.
: regards
: Paul
