Autavia with 203 xxx Serial Number
In Response To: Autavia serial number question ()

Can you specify whether the dial has the ridged markers (earlier) or the inserts in the markers (later) . . . the "Bell" reference does not seem to be specific, as between the two models?

203xxx seems a little early for Viceroy style hands . . . first real "batch" of Viceroy style hands came at 222xxx. Our serial number database is somewhat thin in the 203 range, except that we see several Sifferts. Surprised to hear of a "pip" in the bezel, this early . . . but we are often surprised.

Some photos might be helpful; it would also be great to have the full SN, by e-mail if you prefer.

Thanks,

Jeff

: I have an 1163 with 'Bell' dial, Viceroy hands and tachy insert
: with pip. The serial number starts 203, does this sound correct?
: Thanks!
