I always wonder how these things come about. Its not like the seller has "prepared" the watch for sale. Quite the contrary, they haven’t even bothered to re fix the register hand which they say is part of the sale.

The dial and hands are 2nd execution (assuming the Chronomatic dial is 1st exec) and the case and movement are much later. The general consensus is that these early 1163 dials with ridged steel markers and of course 3,6,9,12 hour register markings came in case up to 143xxx. Movement would be cal11. One additional point about this 2nd execution batch is that cases were supplied by both Piquarez (pusher recess open at the front) and Schmitz (recess open back and front).

Beyond 143xxx the main change to the dial was the hour markers with polished steel and black inset replacing the ridged markers. So this example is a combination of parts put together in a somewhat round about sort of way.
