Re: V72's with Heuer Badge on Bridge

Hi,

These are bridges for the valjoux 23/72 family, if you scan the completed auctions on ebay you'll se many sold in the last weeks.
They are for watches until 1961-62, the serial number engraved can tell the approx. year

Anyway recently popped up some watches belonging to the period "Heuer Leonidas" with such a kind of bridge.

For sure they are frankens, most likely built up with a movemend with signature other than Heuer, made so more credible for the newbie.

: Greetings experts,

: I thought I remembered reading at some point that the Valjoux 72s
: used in the Carreras/Autavias/Camaros (and maybe even any
: of the manual wind Heuer Chronos) were not sold with the Heuer
: Badge logo on the movement bridge, is that correct?

: Further, I think I remember reading that it was funny that it was
: usually the counterfeit and frankens that had this logo'd
: bridge, but I cannot find where I read this. Does this ring a
: bell to anyone? I've seen a Carrera and an Autavia pop up
: recently, both with the shield on the bridge, but look authentic
: otherwise. Both that I'm referring to are also signed Ed. Heuer
: & Co.

: Thank you in advance for any education or insight you can provide.
