It's not so much Heuer bashing as TAG-Heuer ...

:
: apparently, Brad Pitt is not a Heuer ambassador
: (or at least I don't see him on the
: TAG-Heuer website). seems that this is just
: some guys poking fun at Heuer, on another
: discussion board.

Eh, Brad Pitt is in the news of late, that's probably why. If the Pop-Group the Hansen's were still hot they'd probably change the names to them...

: so now for the questions. Why do we see the
: constant stream of Heuer-bashing on sites
: like TimeZone? jealous of Heuer's history?
: jealous of recent uptrend in TAG-Heuer
: designs, innovation and quality? honest
: comparison of competing brands? something
: else?

The same things we say here for the most part. We like the old Heuer, the Classics and selected TAG-Heuer's (2000 Series) inbetween. But not many people here like the S/EL or some of TAG-Heuer's Bling Bling models of the 1990's.

In many old-timer's eyes, Heuer lost their way with TAG until the Classics line became popular, and they still don't get any respect...
