Should be Valjoux 72 / No Carreras in 1962
In Response To: Carrera Circa 1962 ()

if it's from 1962, then it can't be a Carrera (introduced in 1964). If it's a three-register Carrera, then it would have Valjoux 72, and not Valjoux 71.

We could be more definitive if you could send a photo.

Thanks,

Jeff

: I am looking at buying a 1962 Carrera from a
: friend of a friend, I am pretty sure its the
: real thing but there is no paperwork. Its a
: 3 register in gold with what I am told is a
: Valjoux caliber 71 -17 jewel manual wind
: movement with flat hairspring and incabloc
: resistance. Does this sound right?

: Thanks
