Something Doesn't Look Right

Welcome to our forum, and we certainly hope that you will become a regular here.

It's difficult to tell from one photo, but something (or some things) doesn't look right about this one. The geometry on the Heuer shield looks wrong, and I don't recall seeing Heuer using pink gold cases from this era. The hands are also not familiar, in their basic shape. The dial has the look of one that has been refinished . . . perhaps a good quality refinishing, but refinished nonetheless.

It is difficult to be certain with the Heuers from this era, but if I were you I would continue the search.

: Hello heuer enthusiasts,

: Totally new to the forum and vintage heuer. I was recently gifted
: this watch and any help in identication/ authentication would be
: greatly appreciated. It appears to be 18k pink gold and from the
: dial configuration a valjoux 72 ? I could still return it if
: something is off. So would value your expert opinion. I don't
: have a pic of the movement but that can be arranged.

: Thanks guys
