Vintage Heuer Discussion Forum
The place for discussing 1930-1985 Heuer wristwatches, chronographs and dash-mounted timepieces. Online since May 2003.
I was outbid on this one.
There were a few condition issues including:
- an inscription on the caseback
- the 12 o'clock hour marker had apparently been reattached to the dial
- the plate had worn from the crown and pushers
- there was a small dent to the side of the case
Bearing in mind the 21.6% effective commission rate (and the cost of importing for me as a UK buyer given that Switzerland is not in the EU) then, although I was disappointed to miss out, I'm not sure it was such a bargain.
I may well be wrong though as I know that these are relatively scarce.
