Actually Robert, I think there would have originally been short scale hands on all scale dials, including pulsation version, on untouched original watches.

Never seen a 2nd exec style Pulsation dial, don't think they exist, however the book shows Heuer artwork for a 2nd execution 2447NT and we have never seen one. I suspect it was just artwork and no dials were produced, but if anyone has one, post it OTD today!
