New owner of Vint Autavia seeks help

Hello all. Glad I found this forum as this seems to be the knowledge base for the Autavia. Here we go. I was recently gifted my grandfathers old Autavia 1163 Cal.12. This is my first experience with this model, and I'd really like to get this thing back into respectable shape. Although the mov't appears to be pristine (looking) inside, the outside has seen better days (about 30 years ago that is). So, aside from the obvious interior clean & oil she'll need, I'm seeking all the probably impossible to find exterior parts such as crystal, bezel, bezel insert, and probably all gaskets too. Can any of you experts please point me in the right direction for suchs things? I have seen the OEM bands go by on eBay for a bunch O dollars which scares me about the final price of this fixer-uppper. Also, something weird about the stopwatch. The second hand keeps finding a new "zero" spot. As in, it will not always fly back to "12" when the reset button is pressed. It seems to be progressively working it's way around the dial. And idea's on how to reset or recalibrate that? Any help you folks can provide would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone can recommend a worthy watchsmith in the Chicago area that can handle such work. Thanks much! P.Patrick (hughes@roadfly.org)
