this one is probably the rarest in my collection . . . but not the "favorite", beacuse when all is said and done, it's just another 1163MH Autavia (though a very early / rare one)

and this Seafarer is probably just as rare, also a prototype or very early in the production, but I wouldn't want to wear this one every day . . . so it can't be the one-and-only.

same with this Cortina . . . love the looks; love the legibility; but it would probably get a bit old, wearing this 70's shape, every day of my life

OK - - - so I've worked on the question some more . . . realized that the "favorite" must be one that I can wear every day . . . realized that scarcity / difficulty-of-replacement is not the real criterion . . .

I'm getting close to having the final selection, but not quite yet.
