Should Heuer have Made This One ? ? ?

with full disclosure that I have not slept much these last couple of nights, I present the group with an off-beat, off-topic idea that arrived during some late night surfing: Is this Ebel the natural successor to the 50's-era Heuer discussed here yesterday or maybe the Heuer Verona?

Subsidiary questions include the following:

  • what do we think of the Ebel brand?

  • it looks nice, but what is the "build quality"?

  • what are typical prices for these Ebel chronos?

  • aren't the numerals pretty?

  • why didn't TAG-Heuer think of this, for their re-issue series, powered by the El Primero movement?

  • if TAG-Heuer had done it, would we buy it?

so tell me, dear friends: do I need a good night's sleep or do I need an Ebel? maybe both?
