Ordinary (eBay) Prices for Ordinary (eBay) Watches

I didn't study these watches carefully, in advance of the auction, but looking at the results now, it seems like these were some ordinary watches that fetched ordinary, prevailing prices.

My elevator version of where we are -- We are currently in a "correction", which is much better than being in a "crash". There were no special / top of the marquee watches in this Sotheby's sale, but a lot of ordinary ones. So they achieved ordinary prices, with a few that did well. That's OK, but many folks will stick to eBay and Chrono24, for these ordinary watches, and not bother with the hassle (and fees) of the auction houses. I didn't see any results that would evidence a crash.

: Results from Sotheby's Fine Timepieces Auction overnight. Heuers
: struggled to make low reserves (2447s the obvious exception)
: whereas Rolex & PP doubled/tripled most estimates...
