Nice write-up, however I agree that the lack of opinion on the watch itself is a bit weird - maybe he didn't want to diss the hosts who invited him to this lavish event?
Some say: if you can't say something good, then say nothing at all ;-). Many will understand anyway - silence speaks too, in a sense.
