All things are possible until proven otherwise...

Chuck, I guess you receive about one thousand mails a day and that one got by unnoticed.

Well, it's not quite 5:30am as I type this, I just sorted through 51 email messages that I received after I went to bed at 1:05am, exactly one of which wasn't spam and it was from OTD. If I didn't receive it... I didn't receive it. I don't know where it went, but a message from Portugal would stick out from the norm and I have no indication nor recollection that it ever hit my in email box.

Anyway and since I never requested a confirmation of receipt, I guess I owe you a bit of an apology.

Uh-huh...

That watch had "Forças Armadas/Moçambique" on the dial and "Forças Armadas Portuguesas" (Portuguese Armed Forces) on the back of the case and this really got my attention and made me think it could be a 'special edition' like an "officers watch" comitioned by the portuguese governement. Do consider there is a (slim) chance of this being a real possibility?

slim chance of this being a real possibility?

I'm reminded of a bit of dialog from "The Naked Gun: From the files of Police Squad!”:

Doctors say that Nordberg has a 50 - 50 chance of living, though there's only a 10 percent chance of that.’ - Captain Ed Hocking (George Kennedy)...

I like to believe that all things are possible, especially until they are proven otherwise. For example, even though the case is fairly well established that c.321 Speedmasters went to the moon on Apollo missions, and there is no established proof aside from surmizes that the c.861 made a trip, I still think it is possible.

So, unless Jeff, Hans or Jack Heuer take a look at it and say "No way!" there is that possibility although I frankly believe the chances are paper slim, but probably better than me knowingly putting premium fuel into a rental car.
