Toughest Omega... Posted By: Tyler BBB Hey Omega masters... Tyler again. Hi Tyler! I am sure that someone out there is as tough onwatches as I am... I have been in the past... I have accidentally ridden over a watch with my mountain bike, washed one inadvertently in a hot wash/drycycle (serious thermal shock I am sure), Ouch! and have countless bumps on an hourly basis. I plan on purchasing an omega for several reasons, but hope that someone might steer me towards a particularmodel. I hope I can help some... Are there any Omega watches that are more durableto abuse? I wrote this up last year when considering chronographs... It consists of my opinion of the way to go if you're looking for a chronograph. |
If marketing is to be believed, I would say a James Bond watch should stand up well, or perhaps a moon watch? Bond watch yes, Quartz would probably be the better choice when it comes to shock resistance. Similar non-bond models would also be as good. Needless to say, I am going to an AD since I am sure to be having regular maintenance done. Sounds like a smart move. Email me if you need a referral to an excellent AD on the US Eastern Seaboard who will giv you a great price. Ever-grateful for advice... Tyler Hopefully the enclosed article is helpful... |
