I decided not to use the internet site that I had found. When I asked for the S/N of the watch in question, they wouldn't provide it. Maybe they are legit, but they seem to raise more questions than they answer.
I searched a bit on eBay and found an old auction for the watch I'm after that didn't sell, so I'm talking with that seller now. He's been very up front with providing information, so maybe it will work out.
Moral of my story is that if you see a watch you really like, buy it because it may take years to come around again!
