De Ville Automatic Face

This my first post and I don't know much about Omega watches....yet. I have an older "Omega De Ville"(I've been told). It is somewhat square in shape, silver color case, light silver face/w marks at the hours, date at 3 o'clock, Omega logo on the crown, and "Waterproof Tool 9034" on the smooth, undecorated back. On the face under the 12 o'clock mark appears the Omega logo, under it the word "Automatic". At the base of the face above the 6 o'clock mark appears "De Ville." After reading some about the De Ville model, I'm wondering if this is, in fact, a real Omega. My understanding is that on the De Ville models, the faces were "usually" bare of any word than "Omega" and the Omega logo. Is my underatanding correct? Is this a fake? How can I tell? I'd like to send it off for repair(isn't running), but if is not an Omega I'll just trash it.
