Re: Speedy Pro or Auto?
In Response To: Speedy Pro or Auto? ()

hi,

i only own 2 omegas, both of which i have had for less than a year, a speedy date auto with white dial and red logo, and a speedy pro moonphase (has a date feature). most everyone i have worked with think that the date looks better, and some people even thought i was crazy to pay a lot of money for a watch that had to be manually wound. the auto-date is in the drawer now, while the moonphase is being worn daily. i would not have a bought the regular speedmaster pro, as i don't like the easily scratched hesalite, and i absolutely need the date feature. the moonphase cost about TWICE as much as the auto though, so i got a pre-owned one vs brand new. like everyone else has said, you have to see both and try them on before you decide, i don't think you'd go wrong either way.
