First, congratulations on your purchase. Its a fine watch.
The date change does vary from watch to watch. I have a Black faced seamaster that has the same movement as your Bond seamaster, and the time on that watch changes at about 11:40. 20 minutes is probably out of the norm, but there is nothing else wrong with the watch, and it does not bother me, cause im usually sleeping. 4-5 minutes off, no big deal and I wouldnt mess with it. When you decide to get it serviced in 5-6 years, you can have it adjusted then. Otherwise, unless you really depend on the date being set at precisely midnight, dont worry about it.
