Re: I had once possessed an Omega Speedmaster for

: i can't say 100% that the watch was fake, but i
: can say that Omega pays close attention to
: detail. so if i had to say i would say the
: watch was probably fake. i wasn't able to
: see the photo from work. the link you
: provided was blocked by a firewall. usually
: all forums are blocked too, but i am able to
: get into this one.

: do not be discouraged with your first purchase.
: Omega makes quality watches. unfortunately
: some watch dealers who are not AD's will and
: do sell fakes. if i were you i would look to
: another watch from a reputable AD. i
: recently joined the Omega club two weeks ago
: with a purchase of 2594.52. and i must say
: this watch is one beautiful watch.

: take care

I was able to look at the picture and although I'm not that familiar with this model, I do believe that its genuine (anyone feel free to correct me here). Seeing that it also came with 'boxes and papers' confirms this idea. The pic's resolution wasn't good enough for me to see the ink bleed of the 24 date though..... So to me, the watch seems absolutely fine! I do agree with everything else that Nick said though; do NOT be discouraged!

Best of luck Augsix!
