Tnx Derek, appreciate your info.
I own three Omega’s already (speedy date, handwind geneve, de ville quartz). I’m certainly not a technical expert so that’s why I ‘lurk’ on this site once in a while. I like the watches (especially Omega watches) and the fact that these mechanical little machines can operate that precise. A Seamaster was/is on the wanted list.

I found the watch on a Dutch auction internet site. As far as I can see from the pictures it is pretty heavily worn, but I figured if the price is right and the movement is good, it has potential to bring it back in a wearable condition. So I gave them a bid and guess what; they sold it to me for a reasonable price. So now I am the owner of a steel Seamaster with a white!? (became yellow more as time passed I guess) dial. I don't know how to link a picture, otherwise you could take a look.

My idea is to give it a new glass an strap and a good inside clean. Maybe I can polish the case (back)? Or is it wiser to let someone do that? Is the glass also publishable? Well first I’ll have to wait until it arrives. Can hardly wait! Tnx again Derek, for your interest.

Greetz,

Erik
