Yes, No, Maybe??? *LINK*

: I'm wondering if it's OK to swim (beach, pool,
: NO DIVING) with a Speedmaster Professional.
: I know they're marked with a water
: resistance of 30M which would make me think
: light swimming would be fine.

: Thoughts?

According to Omega's water resistance chart (see link below), the watch will be fine for anything up to submersion in water. However, 30 meters is the lowest water resistance rating Omega has, so I personally would not feel comfortable swimming with this watch on. Over the years I've seen posts from Speedy Pro owners saying they have had no problems with swimming, while others have experienced extensive damage from water that managed to seep into the watch.

This watch has such a low water resistance rating and it lacks the screw-down crown found on the Seamasters. For those reasons alone I would not chance it. Basically, if you are looking for a watch to wear while swimming, the Seamasters are the only models that are truly designed for this purpose.

It's your watch and it's your choice, but with a $3750 watch I tend to err on the side of caution.

Just my 2 cents...
