Good point re spring bars.
Have the same concern about my Seamaster Pro.
Used to wear one of the old Seiko kinetics...came off (thankfully under my wetsuit!)while i was surfing, had to paddle back to shore gagging on the thing as only way to carry it was in my mouth.

Any thoughts anyone, spring bars safe?
