Swim All You Want...

: Dear collegaues,

: As I go swimming quite often, can I wear my
: Seamaster while doing laps in the pool? Or
: that would be an obvious abuse?

: Thank you,

Turbinator is right. Your watch has 300 meters of water resistance and can handle deep sea diving, so simply doing laps in the pool isn't going to hurt it. As he said, you should rinse it off with tap water and dry it after use, simply because salt water and the chlorine in pool water can attack and corrode metal over time if they aren't rinsed off. A simple pressure test every year will ensure your watch remains water tight, so if you enjoy swimming with the watch then I wouldn't worry about damaging it. After all, you do have a "Seamaster", not a "Deskmaster".
