I saw the movie and noticed the difference too. In my experience, living in the US, I have been using the "o-MAY-ga" pronouciation, but have to admit that when I have spent time in Europe I remember that they did say o-mee-ga, and you see more Omegas in europe than you do in American (at least where I was). The way they snuck the line in there was pretty funny, I thought.
