Are you that old that you remember how the ancient Greeks pronounced their alphabet (sorry, alphabayt)? I'm sure you aren't - you're much too beautiful!

But if you had been, you'd have remembered that their alphabet had two O's - the Big O and the Little O. The Big O was Omega and the Little O was Omicron.

O - mega. Mega as in Megabucks. Do you pronounce it Maygabucks? Please speak up a bit, I'm the other side of the Atlantic! Don't you say Megabucks?

Personally, I agree with TJ who quotes Shakespeare about the sweet smell of roses. What does it matter how we say the word?

Incidentally, being an ancient Briton, I have always said Omiga - with the accent on the O - so that's another variation!
