I saw the film last Friday and I would say it's very good. Daniel Craig did an excellent job and the Director made the film much more realistic. For one thing, Daniel Craig does some real hand to hand fighting and gets bruised and bloody. Also, this time they treated the women as "real" characters too. The plot is fast moving and well done. Towards the beginning, when Bond meets his government financier/accountant (Vesper) who supplies him the money for the high stakes card game, Bond and Vesper take turns sizing each other up and she guesses he likes luxury watches and says "Rolex?" and he answers "Omega". There are some other instances where Bond takes a swipe at previous typical Bond lines to distinguish the new series. I don't think you'll be disappointed in either Daniel Craig or the movie--so I recommend it to you.
