... but I suspect it means that the case is gold plated and that the depth of the plating is 20 microns. Omega's plating used to be between 20 and 80 microns, I believe.

If you - or your watchmaker - will take off the back of the case, there will be information inside which will establish if this is correct. You might also get the serial number which is stamped on the movement at the same time. The Omega website will then give you an idea when it was made. The watch is certainly not one of the pre-1961 Geneves.

It is curious that it originally had an 18ct gold bracelet [assuming that the case is gold plated]. Possibly it was not original to the watch.

If you do get the case open, please let us know what is inside the case back; it'll be interesting to know.
