Issues with the Crown of My Omega Seamaster

I have had two instances where the crown of my Omega Seamaster - Automatic - required repair. The first one the entire crown came off as I was adjusting the time. Omega repaired and replaced the crown. The most recent one, and it is now after 2 years, the crown won't screw-in to lock itself. It looks like a loose thread. I have not brought it in for repair yet.

Does anyone now if this is common? Should I demand that my watch be replaced, but it is out of warranty? Is there something I should be doing to maintain the crown?

This is my dream watch, but I keep having problems with the crown
