I left mine at home this morning when I left for work and I am missing it!
: It has now been over a month since I brought my
: Omega in to fix the clasp. Little did I know
: that my SMP Chrono (yes, blue) would need a
: complete overhaul. The price quoted was
: steep- nearly $600.
: While I have been waiting, I have been looking
: at possibly every other watch out there. My
: thoughts even drifted towards selling the
: watch when it came back, and buying
: something else.
: No more, I have been looking at plenty of
: watches, primarily Rolex, and there is
: nothing like the Omega. Truthfully, I can't
: really afford a Rolex, but I dont think I
: would buy one even if I could stretch to do
: it. The Submariner and GMT are lovely
: watches, but do not have the heft of the
: SMP. And, if I may, they suffer from a
: uniqueness issue.
: At the risk of having insults thrown at me, I
: did also consider a Tag. Everyone in my
: office has one, they look nice, and they too
: have a lineage. But why take a step down in
: watch?
: Now they tell me that my watch is in quality
: control at Omega, and it should only be a
: few more days. I feel like a kid on December
: 23rd. I can't wait to click the watch back
: onto my wrist. I am excited by my SMP once
: again, like the day I got it.
