Nothing out of Omega yet on it

My two cents is that Omega will upgrade it to Co axial with applied markers, etc, similar to the "Bond" style. This should just about be "it" for the cal. 1120 in the Omega line up. The reason I think it will be "upgraded" is that Omega would end up with a similar situation as Rolex with the SMP as the entry level piece (a la the Sub), and the High end dive piece, the PO (a la the Dweller). At least one can tell the difference between the two, unlike the Sub/Dweller that are very similar.

As far as I know, the black SMP has been a very good seller for Omega, and since it would be priced less than the PO, I think its still attractive enough $$ wise for them to keep in the line up. And it will give consumers an alternative to the blue faced bond at the same price level.

At any rate, if you want one, I would hold off till after basel to see what changes they make. Even if phased out, it still should be available a few months after the announcement.
