The 505s are a bit underrated, compared to the 550/560/750 series. They are very fine movements.

I'm sure you will enjoy the watch for years to come.

I also have a badly redialed 505 Seamaster Chronometer, from my year of birth . . . 1959.

The "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial looks like there was about three cases of beer difference between the two words. The fonts aren't even close.

I didn't send it back, as the watch movement and other details were pretty good. It was cheap, and a lesson learned about making sure you have photos from several angles.

This was from a seller that as Bill Sohne says "everybody buys ONE watch from". I repeat that everytime someone asks about the seller.
