Re: All sorts of questions...thanks CajunMike!

: Again Mike you have been a huge help and very
: knowledgeable. I appreciate you taking the
: time to answer all of my questions.

Thanks for the kind words, and again, I am happy to help.

: What watches do you own and where did you
: aquire what seems to be a vast knowledge of
: horology?

I own two modern Omega's, a Seamaster 2054.50(2254 with the "bond" bracelet). This was my first fine watch purchase back in 2002. Second, I also own a 42mm Planet Ocean, purchased in 2005. Both watches have served me very well.

And to correct you. I only scratch the surface on horology knowledge. It seems to be an endless curriculum and I have only taken "beginner" level courses. What I have learned comes from "checking in" on the forums almost daily for the last 5 years. I work a desk job, so during breaks I take a peek and just read posts. My time doesn't allow me to participate that much, but I post from time to time. You have the same watch I do, and I like to help new owners out because I was in the same boat a few years ago.

: P.s. Great tip on Otto Frei. They have
: everything you would ever need to rebuild
: any Omega!

They do certainly have a lot of Omega stuff. Happy hunting.
