I probably misremembered it.

: Because the Mark III isn't known

: Compare and contrast my choice for today, where
: I expect to in the office, then out for a
: business dinner. Understated subtlety was my
: aim . .

: 16.5mm with one less than half that

: width of 41mm for Chuck with 32.5mm for this
: WWII era manual

: No offense, Chuck, but "understated
: subtlety" is not the Mark III's strong
: suit.

Suffice it to say the Speedmaster Mark III is about as subtile as a chainmail jockstrap. There is a reason why I nicknamed my earlier Mark III with the monikers "Dr. Evil" and Volcano... Neither of which are known of their subtlety.

: One more thing, Chuck.

: Your table says the Mark IIIc is 15.9mm thick,
: but you stated the one you have on is 16.5
: mm.

: Is one measurement or the other mistaken, or
: does the table need an addition? Of course,
: I expect it is the latter . . .

To paraphrase our esteemed chief executive officer and commander in chief, "I probably misremembered it".
