Re: Leather strap on a Bond (Seamaster 300M)?

: Does anyone here wear a leather strap on his Seamaster 300M? I've
: always found mine to be on the heavy side, and too heavy to wear
: while golfing. I was thinking about switching to a leather band,
: and was wondering whether anyone else has done the same, and if
: so, what band they think works particularly well.

: Also, if anyone has pictures of what it looks like, that'd be
: great.

I had my Bond SMP on an Omega blue sharkskin strap about a year ago.I didn't particularly like it much on the strap. To me it made the watch similar to everything else out there i.e seiko etc, I think the seamaster bracelet looks great and looks different in style, and is immediately recogniseable as a seamaster bracelet it should be paired with the watch head as it was designed to do.I think a watch has a cheaper feel to it if it is off it's stainless bracelet. If the watch is to be used for scuba etc perhaps the bracelet could be changed for practical reasons.John.
