Tried it

: Does anyone here wear a leather strap on his Seamaster 300M? I've
: always found mine to be on the heavy side, and too heavy to wear
: while golfing. I was thinking about switching to a leather band,
: and was wondering whether anyone else has done the same, and if
: so, what band they think works particularly well.

: Also, if anyone has pictures of what it looks like, that'd be
: great.

I found the SeMP on a strap to be "top heavy" since I wear straps loose. I had the best results with a cheap rubber with stamped clasp because of the fine adjustment holes. If you wear yours tighter, the issue of the watch head flopping around will go away (or may not bother you.)

However, many do wear this model on leather or rubber straps, often on the Omega deployants. Easy to try with an inexpensive leather one. I see mostly black with black strap or blue with blue strap.
