Re: Found this used Omega watch from the 50's .. Need quick

: So I found this old notice on a board where I live about someone
: selling an old Omega watch from the 50's. It's never used and
: the person bought it from a "dödsbo" (someone died,
: and this person owned a watch-store in Stockholm and i.e left
: loads of watched behind him in the 60's).

: He sent me a picture, and I'm really struggling to not go and buy
: it, i cant see any serial numbers on the pictures - could it
: even be a fake? Its working properly.

: Thanks for any quick answers!

: He also has a letter from the store that the old now dead man
: owned, if that proves anything ..

This appears to be a truly New Old Stock watch with a 30mm calibre -- a calibre 280 to 286 center seconds version. This is a very fine movement. The sticker is consistent with those used in that era. See lot 95 in the Omegamania auction.

I'd go see it and go for it!
