lost moon watch

I am the pround owner of an Omega Speedmaster pre moon watch, the watch was a graduation gift from my grandfather. The watch was found in the early 70s in New york. I was curious about my watch so i did some reserch, and i found out that there was an omega watch that was lost around that time period, i also found out that some guy in Califonia claims that he has found the missing watch. The watch had a tiny 43 marked on the caseback and the s/n was 26549951. After long litigation they concluded that it was not the watch. I have been doing alot of reserching trying to find out the s/n of the watch, but it is not available to the public, i called the lawyer that was involved in the case, and he wouldnt help me because he still thinks he has the watch. I contacted omega they want to see photos and also my address plus $50 just to get an extract of the register. The point that im trying to make is do i have the watch or not? my s/n is 26549994 if you subtract my number from the guy in cali the end result is 43. (to be continued)
