I am fully aware of the current "definition of "waterproof"! I thought it was clear i was referring to what is generally considered to be water resistent to a depth of 100-300 meters. (though with this watch i doubt anything greater than 100 meter resistance could ever be achieved.)
But if it wasn't clear that's waht i was refering to.

$300 to do a decent job......maybe not? But whether it might rise to $400-$500 was immaterial i was just inquiring as to it's possibility, and cost was really secondary. I know one thing......if i had a lathe and materials regarding a crown tube, screw down crown, and sapphire crystal and gasket..... "I" could do the job with making the bezel and installing the saphire crystal and case tube. (31 year bench jeweler!) But i'n not a watchmaker and don't have access to a parts supply directly myself.

Might be a nice "retirement" project someday though! LOL
