Speedmaster Pro - Help

Hi.

Please can you offer me some advice with my Speedmaster Professional.

I have recently received a new Speedmaster Professional Moon watch as a gift from a relative.

I have read the manual very carefully but it is not particularly informative about the watch, particularly when you consider it cost £1,450 (about $2,000).

I want my watch to last a long time and have some questions which I hope you can hep with.

1. How do you wind the watch? Clock wise or anti-clockwise?
2. When winding should you keep going in one direction or wind the crown back and forth?
3. Can you over wind the watch and damage the spring e.t.c or does it have some mechanism to prevent damage from over winding?
4. When fully unwound and the second hand is not moving, how many times should you rotate the crown do that it is 100% wound up. Does the crown stop rotating when fully wound or is there another way of knowing when it is fully wound?
5. How long does a fully wound watch last until the watch stops?
6. I was disappointed to see my watch only comes with a one year warranty, is this normal? I thought they came with a three year warranty as standard from Omega?
7. How frequently should the speedmaster professional be serviced, and how much does it cost? What gets done at the service, I have an old seiko which has never been serviced and its over ten years old?
8. Any general tips on care for watch?

Many thanks for your help.

Best regards.
