Re: How do I authenticate an ebay watch?

: Just about to close on a midi-quartz 007 @£500
: but as new to this want some advice on what
: paperwork I should be receiving with watch.
: Is there any way to check the serial no or
: other info associate with watch?

You need to be sure it is authentic BEFORE you send payment, not after you receive the watch.

On a second hand watch, any paperwork is of little value unless it proves the watch is still covered under a warranty.

What you want to be sure of is that hte watch itself is authentic. The way to tell that is by checking that it HAS a valid serial number and that the watch has not been improperly altered. Almost no fake Omega watches attempt to put serial numbers on them.
