COSC testing

Does anyone know how much the manufacturers pay to cerify a movement? I'm curious as to what kind of mark-up is passed along to the consumer.

: Rolex 3000 caliber is a non date movement which
: is a certified chronometer for the Rolex
: explorer. It is however not certified for
: the sub non date. The same is the case with
: the Omega Dynamic (auto) which uses the 1120
: movement. This movement is not chronometer
: certified for the dynamic but it is
: chronometer certified for the SMP.

: It costs money to get a movement certified so
: Rolex and Omega don't do it on every model.
